The Cover

This small journal cover is made from premium vegetable-tanned Russet leather at 1.5mm thickness. It has a firm yet flexible structure, providing enough support to protect your notebooks while remaining comfortable to open, fold, and carry.

Unlike coated leathers, vegetable-tanned leather develops with use, gradually darkening and forming a patina from handling, sunlight, and everyday wear. Over time, the surface will record the way you use it, with subtle changes in colour and texture.

Designed to fit two standard A6 notebooks or inserts, the generous overlap allows room for thicker notebooks, collected keepsakes, or up to two additional inserts using jump bands.

The Making

Every Piece is One of a Kind

Leather is a natural material, so you may notice small surface marks, wrinkles or healed scars. It will also scratch, wear, and age beautifully as you collect stories and memories with it over time. These are part of the character of the piece, ensuring no two journals are ever exactly alike.

Handmade, Start to Finish

Leathercraft began as a passion project and remains one today. I try to keep every stage of the process as traditional, local and hands-on as possible. Each journal is cut, assembled, dyed (where applicable), finished and packaged by hand in my home studio.

From start to finish, each piece takes between 2-3 hours to complete. It's a slower way of making things, but one I believe results in something far more meaningful.

A Personal Promise

As every journal is made to order and personalised, I don't offer returns or exchanges. However, if something isn't quite right, simply send me an email. I'll personally look into it and do everything I can to make it right.
