About Our Leathers
Natural, Vachetta-style
- Premium full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather.
- 1.2mm
- Characteristics: smooth, rigid and malleable due to tanning technique. Vachetta-style colour way and develops a rich, deep honey patina over use. Just as any natural veg-tanned leather, it takes scratches and leave marks that add character and uniqueness to your piece. Regular conditioning with leather balm can be done to maintain the lustre.
- Locally sourced but not locally tanned as there is no vegetable tannery in NZ.
Velvet Violet
- Premium top-grain, NZ-made leather from a local tannery in Mangawhai.
- 1mm thickness
- Characteristics: Very Soft, pliable, slightly brushed top to achieve a nubuck look & texture to touch
Satin Black
- Premium full-grain, NZ-made leather from a local tannery.
- 2mm leather thickness
- Characteristics: smooth, satin-finish, rigid due to thickness. It has a buttery feel and luxurious appearance that takes scratches and scuffs with use due to the natural finish.
Buffed Brown
- Limited Run top-grain, NZ-made leather from a local tannery.
- 1.6mm-1.8mm leather thickness
- Characteristics: soft, pliable with slight nubuck touch. Oiled and conditioned for shine and slight water resistance.
Dark Whisky
- Premium full-grain, NZ-made leather from a local tannery.
- 2mm leather thickness
- Characteristics: smooth, satin-finish, rigid due to thickness. It has a buttery feel and luxurious appearance that takes scratches and scuffs with use due to the natural finish.
Brushed Blue
- Limited Run top-grain, NZ-made leather from a local tannery.
- 2mm leather thickness
- Characteristics: soft but thick, pliable with slight nubuck touch.
